Welcome to White Domain
Welcome to White Domain. After many years of infrequent updates, I have decided to put White Domain to some useful purpose - cataloging the genealogy of the White, Ireton, Jackson, and Gardiner families to which Helen and I are related. The information in my databases is badly outdated so I will require your assistance in bringing the family trees up to date.
Family Trees
The White, Ireton, Jackson and Gardiner links in the Genealogy section have been activated.
Please remember that these databases are at least 5 years out-of-date. We will be updating them as time permits and regenerating the relevant web pages. Please feel free to register and provide any relevant information regarding updates in the appropriate family forums.
Edna Ireton - A Prayer For Grandma
The following was written and delivered at Edna's funeral by her granddaughter, Mary Ellen McLellan
A Prayer For Grandma
Dear Father in Heaven,
We thank You today, as we celebrate the life of this special woman who is so much a part of who we are. We are thankful that we have each known her and we will carry special memories of her.
Edna Ireton - Eulogies
There were a number of eulogies at Edna's funeral. Here are two.
The first was written and delivered by Tracy Ireton, a daughter-in-law.
On May 19, 1917 the world was blessed with a person who would eventually come to influence the lives of many people in a quiet and unselfish way – not the least of which were her 7 children.
I am honoured to share a few thoughts and memories of Edna, fondly referred to by her sister Gladys as "Ed" and to us as "Mum".
Eleanor White - Eulogy
The following is the eulogy written by Doug White and delivered at Eleanor's funeral:
When asked to give a Eulogy for my own Mother I sat quietly and wondered where to begin. With my Father it had been about his love of music. Many bits and pieces of memories passed through my mind. The years of playing music together as a family, the many people that she joyfully shared her home and life with, creating the extended family she loved so well, her dedication to raising her sons, the joys she found in her grandchildren, the companionship of her friends, the love for her husband. But one word kept coming back to me and I wasn't sure what to do with it or exactly what is signified.
